Welcome to
The Manor House CL
A rural caravan site set in the heart of Winterborne Monkton within easy reach of
Dorchester and the Jurassic Coast
About Us
Charles and Judy Norman welcome you to the caravan site on their working family farm. The hamlet of Winterborne Monkton is still a traditional rural community, consisting of the Manor House, cottages and a church. Visitors will see all aspects of the farm during their stay, from cattle grazing in nearby fields to machinery, especially during the harvest.
Pitch Descriptions
CAMC Member Pitches
The CL is tucked between the farmyard and the small Winterborne stream flowing through the valley, easy to access from the A354, a quarter of a mile from the village. The lawned site is level and firm with electric hook-ups, Wi-Fi and TV boosters. There are two hard standings next to the CL allowing options for year-round visitors. The walk-in wet room and accessible toilet facilities are situated in the stone building opposite the entrance. Arrival from 1pm, departure by 12 noon.
Dick's Plot Non-Member Pitches
This field gets its name from a pre-war carthorse, named Dick, who spent his retirement in a sheltered plot near the farmyard. Only open during the summer months, Dick’s Plot, which is unconnected to the CL, is ideal for visitors who are not reliant on shower or toilet facilities. There is signed access to the field on the approach to the farmyard.
